The proposed residence for Mr. Lakhvir Singh & Family in Kang Shaib Rai stands as a contemporary interpretation of modern Indian architecture. The design balances clean geometric lines with an earthy color palette, creating a striking but harmonious visual identity. Vertical and horizontal massing elements are well-integrated, drawing the viewer’s attention to different focal points, particularly the tall tower-like structure at the center with wooden cladding and recessed fenestration, giving the façade both height and depth.
A variety of textures and materials have been employed to enhance the visual richness of the façade. From the warm wood paneling to the light beige and pastel green tones, the layering of materials softens the strong structural elements. The use of multiple balconies and railings with horizontal bars emphasizes a sense of openness while offering practical outdoor spaces. Large windows allow natural light to penetrate the interiors, which is both aesthetically pleasing and energy-efficient. The central placement of the staircase window adds architectural rhythm and breaks monotony with vertical glazing.
